03/14/2001 Montréal – Bombardier Inc. today announced it has completed the purchase of certain of the engine assets of Outboard Marine Corporation (OMC). The closing of this transaction follows the selection, on Feb. 5, 2001, of Bombardier Motor Corporation of America and JTC Acquisition LLC as joint bidders for the assets of OMC and certain of its affiliates. The transaction was completed for a total cash consideration of $95 million US and Bombardier’s share represented slightly more than half that amount.
