BOASTY is now just an Idea

boasty is now just an idea.  It started out as a mission to get normal people to recognize the sacrifices our veterans make but also to honor them.  After getting very little support financially in 2010 and having some of our main supporters from 2009 break off and start their own micro organizations to continue the main goal (which we support), we have disolved the organization for now to also simply focus on the main message.  To get people to honor our troops...   In any way they know how to, or wish to.  I for one, will simply continue to offer rides on my boat for fellow veterans, but for now will cease trying to influence the rest of the country to follow suit.  Or at least untill I can afford to do so at a later date.  The message of BOASTY is not dead, simply hibernating till we can afford to spread our message in a more commercial fashion nationally.

My project went by the wayside too. Whenever I can, I take a disabled veteran out on my boat, but that hasn't happened much since I have been the only supporter of our project. Renovation on our boat has been a little slow but is coming along. I've offered work on our renovation to disabled veterans in the area but no one has taken me up on it.
