Trip to Coast Guard Fest 2007
Description:
Just another leg of our beatiful trip to Grand Haven Michigan this past summer. I just love Bayliner!
Just Leaving Dusable Harbor for the layup trip
Description:
Here we had just left Monroe / Du Sable Harbor on our way to winter storage 75 miles down river. We'd have to go through 4 locks to get there. We'd hoped to do this by dark...
1998 Bayliner 4085 Balanced Good
Description:
Here is our 1998 Bayliner 4085 coming out of the water for the 2007-2008 winter. After seeing that Carver 55 crashing nose first into the water pictures into the Mediterranean this past spring with the crane made me worry. Every serious boater saw that one in their email a bunch of times. Just imagine if you were the one that had just inked the deal on that one.
Waking up in Du Sable Harbor Chicago
Description:
I had just gotten up from bed the morning of November 3rd 2007. We were taking a trip from our home port to where we were planning to store it for the winter. Reason we waited so long to put her away was that I was waiting for my wife to give birth to my son!
1998 Bayliner 4085 Winter Parking Spot
Description:
A sad day, my boat finally makes it to it's parking spot for the next 5 months. I haven't seen it since and it's been 2.5 months already...
Summer trip to Grand Haven Michigan
Description:
Here we were driving to Grand Haven Michigan

Description:
What a beautiful day in November!
Description:
Boy, what a beautiful day in November! The water, weather, and ride were just great! Just look at how gorgeous the river was.
Bubbles Bubbles Bubbles in the lock!
Description:
Here the bubbles were coming up from below. This was a wierd feeling having the water doing this right below our boat. This is the same thing that can sink a boat in the bermuda triangle! This is how some boats or even ships have been lost in the past!
Riding on the very front of a 42 foot cruiser
Description:
We were on our way to Grand Haven Michigan for Coast Guard Festival. And I was sittin on the bow of our 42 foot cruiser which while running is about 12 or 13 feet from the surface of the water, (maybe more) video taping the experience. The video does it almost no justice to how it really feels. This is an incredible feeling that everyone must experience at least once in their life. I felt like Leonardo Decaprio from Titanic for a few seconds. What a blast this was!
One Full Boat Going on Vacation!
Description:
I was first just showing how much crap I was taking to Grand Haven. Then I took a brief survey of the kids napping on our way over. It never fails, we start the engines, and the kids get good 2-3 hour nap for the most part.
Touching up Bottom wash Job.
Description:
Here the boat was getting pressure washed in the spots where the straps were while it was hanging from the lift.
Watching the forklift move the boat
Description:
The forklift was moving the boat into the parking lot storage here. I'll be one of the very first to go back into the water in 2009. Yay! The earlier the season starts the more fun I can have with the boat!
Summer trip to Grand Haven Michigan
Description:
Watching the wife watching the wake behind the boat. This was an absolutely glorious day! Tons of fun! Not to mention for the first time I was able to be a part of the group while traveling thanks to the Raymarine Autopilot which I just LOVE!!!!
Tracy Teaching Meg Patty Cake
Description:
Here we are nearing the end of our trip back across the lake and Meg and Tracy are playing Patty Cake. More Tracy than meg. But still, it was funny to watch.
My way to Chicago
Description:
On my way to chicago, Last trip I didn't do enough video of the boat running so I took a long video walking around the boat while on my way there.
The camera just can't capture it all!
Description:
The camera just can't show how great and how gorgeous the water is whizzing by. The water spraying from underneath the boat, the waves and water before we hit it, everything. It's just too bad that camera's have such a narrow view...
Making our way down the Chicago River through the pretty section of the channel
Description:
Here we are making our way through the Chicago River on our way to the Calumet Saginaw River. I have to admit this section was kind of pretty with the limestone walls and so much green growth lining the rivers edge. Such a perfect setting and so much better than all the industry lining the river closer to Chicago.
I was watching the davit mounts flex as the boat bounced...
Description:
On my way back after dropping off my wife and kids in St. Joe cause it was so rough out there, I was in the back of the boat watching the davit heads and seeing them flex. It was kind of cool to see them absorbing the shock from the boat bouncing around. The thing that was so different on this trip was that we were going into 3 foot swells. There were the occasional 6 footer near grand haven but these weren't so bad...
Running down the River!
Description:
Running down the river in the evening. It had been raining and we had the whole top up. Even the one that should be a windshield. We took most of it down as the sun broke through the clouds to reveal a gorgeous afternoon!
On our way back to Diversey Harbor
Description:
Here, we're heading back to the marina after a day of partying on the lake. It was a gorgeous day and we made some new friends, business, contacts, and still learned a few things.
Coming out for the winter
Description:
Here's the boat coming out of the water for the winter.

2013 Winter Storage Trip - Stop Motion Camera
