Here the bubbles were coming up from below. This was a wierd feeling having the water doing this right below our boat. This is the same thing that can sink a boat in the bermuda triangle! This is how some boats or even ships have been lost in the past!

Riding on the very front of a 42 foot cruiser
Description:
We were on our way to Grand Haven Michigan for Coast Guard Festival. And I was sittin on the bow of our 42 foot cruiser which while running is about 12 or 13 feet from the surface of the water, (maybe more) video taping the experience. The video does it almost no justice to how it really feels. This is an incredible feeling that everyone must experience at least once in their life. I felt like Leonardo Decaprio from Titanic for a few seconds. What a blast this was!

Here is our 1998 Bayliner 4085 coming out of the water for the 2007-2008 winter. After seeing that Carver 55 crashing nose first into the water pictures into the Mediterranean this past spring with the crane made me worry. Every serious boater saw that one in their email a bunch of times. Just imagine if you were the one that had just inked the deal on that one.

2008 COSA Day on the water

Here the kids from the camp sang a song for us. Expressing their appreciation for the day we gave them. The name of it was "Boat People are the Most..." I would guess. The kid who led this song had suffered some kind of illness which took his eyes. Great kid, with such a great spirit!

The forklift was moving the boat into the parking lot storage here. I'll be one of the very first to go back into the water in 2009. Yay! The earlier the season starts the more fun I can have with the boat!

Carving up Lake Michigan on a Last Hoorah!
Description:
A Last blast running out on the lake after a season of troubleshooting problems and learning more than I'd ever known about diesel engines, their care, and maintenance. We can finally once again after a two year stretch, run the diesels at full throttle for any length of time without running over 200 degrees. This run was a pedal to the metal run at just over 30 mph!!! Quite fast for a boat of this size!

Making our way down the Chicago River through the pretty section of the channel

Here we are making our way through the Chicago River on our way to the Calumet Saginaw River. I have to admit this section was kind of pretty with the limestone walls and so much green growth lining the rivers edge. Such a perfect setting and so much better than all the industry lining the river closer to Chicago.

I was watching the davit mounts flex as the boat bounced...
Description:
On my way back after dropping off my wife and kids in St. Joe cause it was so rough out there, I was in the back of the boat watching the davit heads and seeing them flex. It was kind of cool to see them absorbing the shock from the boat bouncing around. The thing that was so different on this trip was that we were going into 3 foot swells. There were the occasional 6 footer near grand haven but these weren't so bad...

The camera just can't capture it all!

The camera just can't show how great and how gorgeous the water is whizzing by. The water spraying from underneath the boat, the waves and water before we hit it, everything. It's just too bad that camera's have such a narrow view...
